Thank you for participating in the TAA (Trade Act Assistance) workshops. It is hoped the information disseminated that evening will be helpful on your farm.

With the volume of information presented, I’m sure your heads were swimming. You were probably asking, “How do I put the information into perspective and focus to use to benefit my farm business."

You briefly heard about something called ITA (Intensive Training Assistance). This is a free service for TAA participants and you will receive one-on-one consultations with a Farm Family Support Network consultant. This extra assistance is free and available to put the volume of information heard in the TAA workshop into focus and assist you to take your farm business to the next level. The consultation takes place at a location convenient to the ITA client, usually, the kitchen table.

 If you are diversified, we can help you with Enterprise Analysis, evaluating the value of the individual enterprises (crops) on the farm business. This financial analysis is extensive and uses the analysis program called FINPACK.

 The other element of the Intensive Assistance is assisting you with creating an Action Plan or a Business plan. This document would serve as a road map to enhance your existing business, assist with diversification, or plan an exit strategy. Basically, this document will guide you to a preferred future, whatever that may be.
